15-year-old driver from Japan claims historic win on GT Radial tires, strengthening the brand’s position as a global motorsport contender.
Jakarta, June 3, 2025 — GT Radial proudly celebrates a monumental achievement on the global stage as Japanese driver Hiroya Minowa became the youngest winner in Formula DRIFT history, clinching victory at Round 3 of the 2025 championship held in Orlando, Florida on May 31.
Driving a Toyota GT86 equipped with GT Radial Champiro SX2 RS tires, Minowa delivered a spectacular performance — defeating some of the most renowned drivers in the world and securing his first-ever Formula DRIFT PRO victory at just 15 years old.
Joining him on the podium was fellow GT Radial driver Aurimas Bakchis, who finished in third place, further solidifying GT Radial’s competitive dominance in the 2025 season. With this result, GT Radial now ranks second overall in the Tire Cup standings.
